PLASTIK IN UNSEREN OZEANEN 🌊

Jede aufgegebene Bestellung zählt. Bei jedem Kauf fließt ein Teil des Erlöses in die Entfernung von Plastikmüll aus Küstenregionen und Wasserstraßen, die Gefahr laufen, in den Ozean einzudringen. Wir tun dies in Zusammenarbeit mit zertifizierten Partnern wie Plastic Bank und GoodAPI, die sich auf verifizierte Kunststoffentfernungsbemühungen spezialisiert haben.

• Plastic Bank ist in Ländern wie den Philippinen, Indonesien, Brasilien und Ägypten tätig und baut ethische Recycling-Ökosysteme in Küstengemeinden.
• GoodAPI ermöglicht es Marken wie uns, die Plastikentfernung pro Bestellung zu konfigurieren und stellt verifizierte Zertifikate über seine Plattform zur Verfügung.

HOW IT WORKS - TRANSPARENT AND TRACEABLE ♻️

Here's what happens behind the scenes when you place your order:

• We register the order through our system, and a fixed contribution is allocated for plastic-removal via our partner network. (For example: 5 plastic bottles removed per order.)

• Our partner initiates collection of plastic waste from within 50 km of the coastline or waterways that lead to the ocean - this is what "ocean-bound plastic" refers to  

• The waste is collected by local communities, sorted and weighed at certified collection centers. Many of these operations use blockchain- or fintech-based tracking systems to secure transparency of the whole process. (Plastic Bank’s system registers transactions via app and digital wallet.) 

• The collected plastic is then processed into recycled feedstock ("Social Plastic®") that is reintegrated into supply chains - reducing the need for virgin plastic and closing the loop.
